The email seems legit – and – it got past my spam filter. Me being the suspicious person that I am, confirmed that it is a scam and feel that in most cases, folks would not bother with reading into it if the price was 9.99 or 99.99 but the shock factor of a 999.99 raises an eyebrow and some would actually call the number listed in the email.
